Zweck der Stiftung ist die Erhaltung und Förderung der Wallfahrt von Maria Rickenbach, die Besorgung von Gottesdienst und Seelsorge, welche mit der Wallfahrtskapelle verbunden sind. Die Stiftung stellt die Erreichbarkeit des Wallfahrtsorts im Anschluss an den öffentlichen Verkehr sicher. Sie fördert insbesondere die Erreichbarkeit des Wallfahrtsortes für sozial benachteiligte Menschen. Sie ist bestrebt, kulturelle Aktivitäten und gewerbliche Tätigkeiten in Maria Rickenbach als Grundlage zum Erhalt der Wallfahrt und der Existenz des Weilers zu fördern.
