Das SRK Glarus bezweckt bei der Erfüllung der Aufgaben des Schweizerischen Roten Kreuzes mitzuwirken. Es kann weitere humanitäre Aufgaben im Sinne der Grundsätze des Roten Kreuzes erfüllen. Das SRK Glarus ist im ganzen Kanton Glarus tätig. Aktivitäten in den St. Galler Gemeinden Weesen, Amden und Schänis werden bei Bedarf mittels einer separaten Vereinbarung zwischen dem SRK Glarus und dem SRK Kanton St. Gallen geregelt.
